Description

This stunning part of Sydney is yours to explore on this trail that winds along the banks of Middle Harbour. You’ll pass through canopied forests, mangroves, and sandstone overhangs. Start this hike at Echo Point Park. Follow the well marked trail and pass under Roseville Bridge. Keep walking as far as you like until it becomes National Park. The map and route for this one ends well before, but if you kept going you can make this a 13km return hike.

Highlights on this hike are the many swimming spots for dogs (and also humans!). Just be careful of the sharp oyster colonies. I sliced my foot open in my eagerness to jump in for a swim with Pippa! Bird life in the area is spectacular. Cockatoos and water birds abound.
