Description
This nice walk was in the highly recommended Dog Trip book. It’s an easy short hike that is designated on-lead.
Start at the strange but beautiful Ray’s Falls waterfall next to the golf course. It sounds shit but it’s actually a lush and tranquil place where water cascades down a suprisingly high layered rock wall. Sydney is full of secret spots like this. We are so lucky!
Next take the short connecting path to the main trail to start the walk proper. The trail is an out and back and pretty much follows the creek the whole way along. If you can’t see the creek it you can probably hear it softly babbling to your left.
Enjoy the birdlife on this walk. We saw cockatoos, kookaburras and king parrots. We met others on the trail and it looks like it’s busy all day round. It’s a refreshing bit of beauty on the north shore.
